Industrial mechanic

Description

Reporting to the supervisor, the industrial mechanic repairs and maintains the plant and all its mechanical and electrical equipment. The position will also involve assembling and dismantling mechanical equipment.

Overview of tasks

•  Repair all equipment and machinery in the plant
• Assemble parts by reading and interpreting drawings and manuals
• Assemble equipment
• Maintain and lubricate machines and equipment by applying grease and oil
• Assist employees in the storeroom
• Detect operating problems and implement the necessary solutions or modifications
• Keep equipment maintenance schedules up to date
• Maintain the inventory of spare parts
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and electro-hydraulic diagnostics
• Carry out work in accordance with safety rules, using the required protective equipment, and report any accident risk to a superior
• Carry out other tasks at the superior’s request

Skills

•  Have a degree in industrial mechanics or relevant experience
•  Have 2 years of experience as an electromechanic
• Be versatile and able to work under pressure
• Be able to manage priorities
• Know how to read and interpret drawings to assemble parts
• Have basic knowledge of electricity and thoroughly understand the electrical code to make connections
